You had a great concept behind this. You took the old saying "every rose has its thorns" to a new and unique level. In other words, you made it your own. Good job. I was once told that you should never put the main subject in the center of the photo, but I don't see how it would have the same impact in your piece without it. I think it would've been a little more interesting if you used a real flower, it looks a little like a frosted or plastic one here, which may or may not take away some of the impact of the photo to some people. The leaves are also a little odd. I do love the softness of this though, its a nice touch to the picture. Hope I helped!
I like the gradual blur as it goes outside and the composition of it. I think the picture is really nice as is but I also get this feeling it's missing something to really stand out among other pictures like these ones; a lot of people have done this kind of pictures so you need to find something to really stand out. I encourage you to try more challenging perpectives as most your pieces seem to be frontal for example. make it tricky so people become more interested in the picture. Be suggestive too, make it so people feel rewarded if they look long enough....Basically find something that makes your art yours and only yours.
Thank you very much, I appreciate your advice! I know that lately my pictures look really similar to each other, and to pictures from other artists as well, so I'm trying to work on that
